Hey everyone! ArwingPilot114 here to announce a different 'contest' we'll be having starting today, June10th until the end of July! I read the suggestions from everyone in the last journal, and I'm going to try something different. Instead of having a voting system and a ranked system, I'm foregoing all that in favor of a more casual system. I'm doing this mainly for my sake since I have a convention I need to sell art at, and an airshow I'll be volunteering at very soon.

This 'contest' will be an open submission of a couple themes.

1. "Occupational Pokemon" Suggested by :iconfishypaste: - What would normal jobs look like with Pokemon at our sides? Create a scene where you think Pokemon would be extremely helpful in any job setting!
Ex: Machops helping construction workers, Lanturn helping deep-sea explorers, or Staraptor aiding search and rescue opperations.

2. "Forgotten History" suggested by :iconweirda208: - We know what the worlld of Pokemon looks right now, but what did it look 100. 400. 1000. or millions of years ago? Create a scene depicting interactions of humans and pokemon in the far past, or create a scene how Pokemon may have lived in ancient times.
Ex: The fossil Pokemon living their lives during their reign millions of years in the past, Humans and Pokemon interacting without the invention of apricorn balls, or pokeballs, What Ecruteak City may have looked like with both the Tin Tower and Bell Tower still standing.

All contestants can submit their entries into our FEATURED folder by July 31st. I will limit submissions to 2 per person this time, (one for each theme) BUT you will be entered in the raffle only ONE time.

Anyone who participates will receive:
:bulletgreen: 10 points from :iconarwingpilot114:,
:bulletgreen: Featured on :iconrealisticpokemon2:'s page until the end of August,
:bulletgreen:Finally, anyone who participated will be entered in a raffle to win the grand prize of a random boxed amiibo I have with an unopened copy of Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U (I have a spare I recently discovered, and I don't really want it lying around unused anymore xD) I really want to make it clear how much I really appreciate everyone on this site, and especially to you wonderful people apart of the Pokemon Community

:new: EDIT: Just to clarify, my copy of Smash 4 "Plays on Wii U Systems sold for the Americas only." So I guess it can only play on North and South American Wii U consoles. Sorry for any inconveniences. :\

Kind of different, but I hope this way everyone feels like a winner, and has a fair chance to win something cool! Let me know what you guys think of this! I'm curious to see how this pans out.

I hope to see some awesome art from you guys! :D

Wouldn't the mega evolutions be the same generation as their previous form? I mean, they're technically the same Pokemon and got the same number :)
I just wanna know, I saw some of them in the Gen 6 folder.

Mega evolutions for now I suppose can be submitted to either Gen 6 or the original generation folder of the pokemon. I just figure since Mega Evolutions have only been in gen 6, they can be submitted to the gen 6 folder.

I will most likely create a new folder for Mega Evolutions though sometime in the near future. ;)

I'm not seeing a rules section here like was with the original group (or I'm just not looking hard enough)  How much can be submitted at once?  kinda has a lot of sketches she'd like to display

It's in the top left box at the very bottom.
We don't have a suission cap, but we do ask that if you do submit deviations, they aren't rough sketches or works in progress.

I hope this helps!
